Comment Word Verification Turned Off

We'll see if having registered users will stop the spam. That means that you will have to register as a user to leave a comment but you won't have to type in the verification letters. If we start getting spammed again, I'll turn the verification back on.

I think if every one signed up as a user, wouldn't it make spamming that much easier whether it was turned on or off? I believe that you must have some kind of spam protection on your computer to keep it out.

Email spam is one thing-- content spam is another. I left it off and didn't have registered users on another blog and with 30 seconds I had two spam comments trying to sell stuff. So far haven't had any commenting spam but it could happen...
