High Plains Drifter To Be Remade

High Plains Drifter To Be Remade

You have just been hired by a Hollywood producer to pitch a modern-day version of High Plains Drifter. Who would play the characters? Where would you set the story? What plot changes would you make? Do you have a particular style in mind?

Since it's modern times, could you have Clint riding in to Lago on a horse? What about that angle? Is it still a Western or are you going to move the tale to New Jersey and use Tony Soprano as the Drifter? What about the women? Gonna update them?

I would find someone of todays stature that people would recognize, and could also look the part. Someone like Kenny Rogers or Travis Trent. The location could be any small town in Arizona. You really would not need any horses because you can do the remake in modern times.

It would be cool to do a remake now with Clint Eastwood as the star, but he's like 78 years old. This would surely slow down his draw time or maybe the cameras can make him look faster.
